At 4pm today we decided to check back in with StockTwits to see what new developments were generating traffic and to see who would make the trending list twice in one day.

For those unfamiliar with StockTwits, it is essentially Twitter for the stock markets. Users specifically tweet about markets trends, investment strategies and real-time company specific events. This last part, ticker specific tweets, is a great way for users to glean which names are generating the most buzz.

One of the most interesting developments of the day happened between OCZ and STX, where buyout rumors fell through. Some investors were upset that neither company came out and denied the rumors when they began.

Traffic from the CBI/SHAW deal carried into the afternoon.
