Amazon.com (AMZN) is reportedly planning the release of a larger Kindle Fire, while Apple (AAPL) is rumored to offer a reduced size of the iPad, and release a larger screened iPhone. Madness.
Amazon’s new Kindle Fire is said to be 10.1 inches, and they are assumed to have suspended plans for an 8.9-inch model.
According to DigiTimes, Amazon is expecting to ship 30-40 million tablets in 2012, though Kindle numbers won’t be released. Those numbers include the entry-level tablets, as well as the Fire.
