We found an infographic compiled by Infosys (INFY), the technology consulting company, which predicts five trends that will change manufacturing in 2013.
One that stands out is the idea that firms will soon be able to leverage social media into a force that creates collaboration between employees on a substantive level and further entwines companies with their customers. Additionally, improvements in the way that data can be stored and tracked will allow for the implementation of micro-data analysis that delivers “actionable insights.” For the world’s largest manufacturers like General Motors (GM), Hewlett Packard (HPQ), and ConocoPhillips (COP), these could all be significant and profitable developments.
